A minute apart
To bring them home
For every arrival
There's a departure
All day, everyday
Metal tubes full
Of pressurized air
Stale with the sweat
Of Business travellers
On their tiresome rounds
Of Hotel breakfasts
And conference room buffet lunches
Anxious fliers grip the seats
It's not the flying they're frightened of
But the sudden, unexpected, uncontrolled landing
Their final destination that thrills them
Joyful holiday makers
Head to warmer climes
Sandy beaches, clear blue waters
Sangria, Retsina, Sambuca
Returning, sunburned
Disappointed
Their garlicky breath adding to the stale air
A minute apart
They stack the planes

Coming home, going away
Travelling in discomfort

Great record. wears it's influences proudly ..but retains a sliver of identity that is uniquely British and has a northern feel to it..I think that these geographic musical vignettes are realy evocotive of northern Newtown Uber estates and satellite communities..I hope this translates to a wider audience for him...he deserves the attention. give him his due .NOW .
